During August 2002 Towncross Engineering was asked to help develop a model engine by The Old Model Company Ltd. We developed the mechanical parts of the prototype engine, keeping in mind the finished item would need to be reliable, high quality and economical to produce. After the prototype was to OMC's satisfaction, we produced drawings of the parts, then produced press tooling, and the necessary CNC machine setups to produce the finished engine.
